I don't know what we're arguing about because Vita is selling for shit in the US, and that's the big market. It's selling ten times as much in Japan

It's totally Sony's fault that the Japanese only care about handheld games if it has Monster Hunter and they let Nintendo steal that away from them.

Everything that's transpired from then until now shows that Sony didn't really have the reserves necessary to keep it exclusive.

Concurrently, there's been just as much of a migration to phones, so it honestly would have been a lost cause.

Vita never had the casual market to lose like DS had, though. DS lost all of its Touching Animals, Sodukas Puzzlers, and Walk with Granpas to mobile, but PSP never had them in the first place. It wasn't as big a seller as DS was, but it was clearly doing much better than Vita is right now. You'd think that Vita would have a little more pull on the gaming market than it has. Sony his the poor thing in a corner quickly after launch, pushing it aside for PS4 as soon as it could. Even at E3 Sony was like, "Oh yeah, almost forgot, look there are some indie games on this thing i guess."
