Right. Mostly for the fact that people that don't normally go out to eat make this their annual adventure to verbally abuse the already under-appreciated restaurant employees. In my case it was always a soul-crushing 14-16 hour day during which my mother didn't get to have all of her children together.

I used to work for 1-800-Flowers. The week leading up to Mother's Day was always absolute hell. Mandatory 12-hour days, no lunch breaks...man, am I glad I'm outta that fucked up scene.
