As if things could not get sillier, if you legally obtain a copy of CoD:MW3 before Tuesday and play while connected to Xbox Live, you will probably get banned -- even though the director of policy enforcement for Xbox Live said it was OK (Activision then made him retract that statement the next day).

Fake edit: Now Activision is walking that threat back, saying "legitimate users" will not be banned and the new X360 copy protection was cracked a week after it was rolled out so they can't detect that either. Maybe it's just me, but I'm finding all of this hilarious.
