Ugh, I haven't been able to get past the 2nd book where Roland is on the beach going from doorway to doorway recruiting people. It may be time for me to pick these back up and try and finish the series.

I need to. I absolutely flew through the first book and then once I got to the the part with the schizo black chick civil rights movement doorway stuff I lost interest and stopped reading. I'm awful at returning to books that I stopped reading because I was bored, but I'm definitely going to try and make an exception for this series.

The fourth one really is great. One of the best books he has ever written imo. And since it's all flashback you don't really need to read the others if you don't want to, although I like 1, 3, and 4 the best.

I've decided I will read 1-4 then this 4.5 one, and then hope he somehow splits into an alternate universe and rewrites books 5-7 so they don't suck so much pipe.

I bought It because I can't stop thinking about Pennywise the Dancing Clown. I need to exorcise this shit.
