Inner Dialog

Watched this video on a friend's facebook.

There is a part where one character wonders if everyone thinks in their accent and the other two make fun of him for thinking in dialog.

Which got me to wondering, how you guys think? I've thought about this off and on before. And I've talked with friends that teach professionally about it. About how they have to overcome problems with students who think in fundamentally different ways from most students, or think in a way that hinders them in class. Like how some students have trouble at math because they are unable to visualize objects and have to be taught pen and paper methods for all mathematical processes.
