Dancing! Learning, Music, and Experience!

I'm looking for some discussion and advice on learning to Dance, and probably to enhance what little music ability I have in general.

So who has learned to dance, what type of dances, and what helped you learn the best?

I went to a beginner's Lindy Hop class (8 step) and I wouldn't call it a disaster, but I definitely am no natural. Right now all I can do is really practice keeping in 8 steps (1 left - 2 right - 3 left - 4 Quick step right left)(5 right - 6 left - 7 right - 8 Quick step left right).

I'm looking for discussion in general, and information on what helped anyone on TNL to dance and what types of dance they enjoy.

Also if you have a specific style you can dance well, put some of your favorite artists that you like in regards to that style of dancing.

So many girls into swing here in NY it's impossible not to get hit by pussy. That said, I love dancing. Latin roots and all I do the merengue and salsa joints. I also do thuggish dancing but you can get shot in those clubs.

I think there might be something wrong with your brain. Like, something is backwards in the wiring. Buying cute and adorable anime figuring girls is gay and reclusive. Not a form of social dancing done between a man and a woman, that is thematically, the opposite of gay. As Razor said there are women all over that place.

Also I'm surprised that only Razor has any experience with dance on TNL, and it's pretty awesome that you do Salsa Razor. When did you start learning that?
