I just preordred this from amazon. Pretty psyched. How does this premier club business work? I want to make sure I'm not missin g out on the necromancer or golden key nonsense.
Should I expect them to send me a redemption code, or what?

I just pr-eordered from a nearby GameStop. Might pick it up at midnight. Comes with some extra in-game bonuses and an exclusive arena I believe just for GameStop.
Really surprised that the limit edition is sold out everywhere. It's numbered and there were only 50,000 made, so that made it appealing but not quite enough to the point where I really wanted it for $150. So I'm kind of glad it sold out, makes my decision a lot easier to just get the regular edition. I might be swayed into the Vault Edition, but for the time being I'm going to stick with the regular.
edit: I also pre-ordered the season pass for $30. It pays for the all 4 DLC that they have planned to be released throughout the year.

I'm surprised by what a big deal Borderlands 2 is. For me Borderlands just kind of existed. It wasn't bad but it wasn't all that good either.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

I am too. I couldn't get into the first one single player at all. I'm more surprise that you didn't, because you can usually hold another member hostage to play with you. In going back to it in co-op with my wife it's better, but she likes it a whole lot better than I do still. At the end of the day, it's a first person shooter that didn't come from Valve/Irrational/id/Spector. I don't think the single player was as good as Call of Duty even though, and keep in mind I stopped with CoD3 or maybe MW1.
I'm preloading it on Steam right now. I only bought it at launch because Cecilia liked it alot when she played it, but she played horrible single player the entire time and I figure she might like it better if she plays with actual other people.
Women.
I had a very nice time with Charles day 1 and then my Xbox exploded and I was left in the dust.
I like Borderlands because it is a nice chat/loot treadmill game with gameplay that I can stick with for a while. Most games like it are MMOs, which have gameplay I cannot (at least before, maybe it's different now) stick with.
I thought the SP of Borderlands was pretty good - combat was interesting to me.
