I'm playing this on PC. The latest DLC is really well done. At first it seemed really hard (I was playing in ultra-true vault hunter lvl 53ish going in), but you slowly realized you're getting better, not just because you found a few upgrades, but because you're adapting to the new enemy patterns and behavior. I'm really impressed that a loot-grind game is forcing me to develop old-school gaming skills to get by, and I'm having to get much more creative with my ability, weapon selection, priority, and timing. I'm experimenting with builds again and trying new types of weapons just to gauge effectiveness.
I'm only to the dwarven mines now, but some nice touches (gameplay related...there's plenty of story or "humor" details that hit or miss):
- even melee enemies have some sort of range attack if you're trying to zone or bottle-neck them
- taking off skeleton heads, predictably, hampers their accuracy and can give you breathing space (necessary because it was hard for me to whittle guys down that quickly)
- archers have amazing accuracy and will lead their shots! you have to fake them out and juke and the last moment
- the eternal skeletons that continually res unless you pull the sword out of their body
- most enemies (even basic spiders) dodge and make erratic paths on approach, but react to you in observable ways in close proximity, meaning you can play footsie with their attacks (which is important because they just pounce or have lock-down lasers if all you do is zone)
- there are enemy vs enemy battles (golems vs skeletons, treants vs orcs, etc) that need to be carefully orchestrated. Siccing the mega-treant on the orc camp was a fantastic sequence
- lots of medieval shields and armor that make aiming a challenge, but you can go for knees instead of heads in some cases
- some enemies can be melee'd to knock them back and bit and get a short stun
Maybe a lot of this becomes moot if you play on normal, but jumping in at my level was a really fun challenge. If people want to go through stuff on PC I'm '0therdane' (that's a zero), I have guys at some different places. I mostly play single player, but I'd definitely like to try some of the big bosses.
I like the fantasy skinning and just want to iterate they did a great job on the enemy variety and behavior (so far). The game has reached a sort of point though where there's SO much content, that they prospect of starting a new character just seems ponderous. I know the badass ranks give bonuses persistent, but I wish there was some other ways to boost a new guy to the more interesting parts of the game.

Same, hooray
That's a kind of weird question. I don't think any of them play significantly different...I guess I'd just go through the skill trees and see what most appeals to you. I don't have her but it seems like the mechromancer might be the easiest/quickest to play through because the pet mechanic solves a lot of problems (although her voice samples could get old quick).
