Shredder's trial mode has really been helping me along. I wish it would pat me on the back for making a decent move instead of scolding me for making a less than perfect one, though. Thanks for the recommendation, Diff. This game is pretty good!
Actually sitting down at a chess board and playing against somebody competent at the game is one of the better things in life, IMO.
Playing via turn based programs is also perfectly acceptable.
That being said. I have no new games on Chess With Friends. You can all get fucked.

There is something comfortable and intimate about playing on an actual board, knocking each other's pieces around; I agree.
There is something more comfortable about playing on the shitter while I'm on the clock.
