The next CBA is probably going to force a term limit on contracts thus saving Pittsburgs ass. In fact they may have agreed to the contract knowing its going to happen.

So Marty Brodeur claims he is going to test free agency for the first time in his career. What he should be doing is testing retirement. Getting the Devils to the finals is as close to going out on top as he's going to get.
Hey if he can still play at a high level, let him keep playing.
Supposedly the Devils organization has $80 million in debt. That's why Parise and Brodeur are looking to jump ship.
