Also I usually expect big sources to *not* review 2D shooters. What'd they say anyway? "I beat this game in thirty minutes, it's too easy, looks a bit crap, 5/10" Exposure is nice and all but c'mon.

It's cheaper than a banner ad and lets people know a game is out. That's important. Strania flew way under the radar.

There's been some discussion about this in the Cave thread, but since it's not really topical there, being a G.rev game, and is significant in terms of being a multiplatform HD shooter release, it really deserves its own thread. Preorders are open at NCS for the PS3 version, which ships in February, with the region locked 360 version following in the spring. With any luck an HD release of Border Down will follow, and the Dreamcast can largely ride off into the sunset.

This appears to be less of a remake than I had hoped. I don't think I can justify the cost on this one, to be honest. (Optional) new widescreen mode doesn't really appeal to me, and the assets look identical. Lighting's a little nicer, I guess.

It is pretty goofy, considering the game is five years old and already ported. I want this game on my joystick and monitor, though, so whatever.
