Or just make a simpler, more accessible game. Senko no Ronde wasn't a shooter, it was a peculiar niche within a niche. I'm sure Border Down or whatever could have done just as well as Otomedius.

In fairness, Strania was probably not the most accessible game on the planet either. It's a little unwieldy until you get used to juggling weapons.

On this we'll have to disagree. IMO, Otomedius was a mostly terrible game that sold because of it's themes. Deathsmiles was at least a decent shooter underneath all the embarrassing loli bullshit, but I doubt it would have sold as well without pushing what people were really interested in.

  3. So basically, you're saying they should go back to Doki Doki Idol Star Seeker?

I actually ignored Deathsmiles because of the embarassing loli shit, but TNL convinced me to get it anyway. <3 TNL!

What I'm saying is that every game should be Doki Doki Idol Star Seeker.

  6. Embarrassing themes are pretty easy to get over in this genre. If these were fighting games or belt scroll action games or something, it'd be another story.

    whatup Arcana Heart.

  7. Hey, this game is shipping now! I'm pumped.

  8. The new soundtrack is pretty awesome. But the cost of this game is too high to even be an option for me right now.

  9. My PS3 LE version just shipped fron NCSX for about $129.

Let's hope Border Down isn't too far off. With their back catalog nearly all brought over, it wouldn't be fair to leave this one behind. G.Rev seems interested in doing it, but it may not be soon (I guess probably mid-late 2013, maybe with a 10th Anniversary edition?).

Of course, part of me wants to remake Border Down, but I am also the head of Grev and therefore have to think in business terms. So for now we are not planning to remake BD, but give us some time and we perhaps can make it happen in the future”.
Hopefully this leads to a triple header with Border Down, BD Remix, and an amazing new version on one disc. Maybe the LE could have both sides of Strania as bonus content. Hopefully UDHD sells nicely so G.Rev gets some motivation. UDHD's dual platform release can't hurt esp. with PS3's lack of region locks.

PlayStation Move does what Kinect Kinnot.
    Finished in 2013: 10 games (360:1, PC: 6, Gen: 1, AC: 1, PSP: 1)

What is the verdict on this from the people that have had it for a while now? I have some room in my gaming budget during this slow summer for an import like this.
