SSJN: building a Neptune is a huge pain in the ass, but if I have any spare Genesis and 32x systems when I finally build my own I'll see what I can do. I have a pile of Model 2s I got from ebay that I repaired, but I'm not sure if I have another extra mushroom.

Also I'm jealous of your kindle.

I'm hearing good things! I haven't had time to crack into it yet; I just got back from vacation and have had 30 minutes of free time since I got home. Friends over at Disney seem to be saying it is the one true God, so I'm looking forward to digging into it! The 3D camera stuff looks like it's going to be fun, and the workflow is more of a combination Flash/After Effects kind of thing.

I, too, am jealous of my kindle. Needs to get here already!

Anyway you can post what you have so far in systems? I'm kinda curious as to how many of those things there are.

I would just take a pic of them all but most of them are packed away and in storage right now.

Here's what I know I have off the top of my head.

Blue
Ice Blue
Clear
Yellow
Black
Green
Silver
Gold
Red
Pink - Hello Kitty

And the ones I know exist and still need.

Pink (plain color, not HK themed)
Classic Grey (exact same colors as the original GB)
Clear Neon Green (Called "Extreme Green" on the box)
Clear Purple (sorta like the common clear GBC)
Clear Ice Blue (TRU exclusive in Japan)
Clear - Famitsu Limited Edition

There may be more as well. None of these I listed are all that hard to find if you're willing to pay $100+ for a few of them but I'm content to slowly acquire them for more reasonable prices. The Famitsu LE will probably be the last one I'll need, those rarely sell for under a hundred. The only US release I still need is the extreme green one.

if you ever see a junk lot of them on ebay, and know they work, I might go halvies with you.

I'd like to build a cart that does chord / note detection, and plug a guitar straight into one.

I don't want to cut up my old brick to develop this.
