Yeah I've been using VGA to PC monitor the whole time I've had a 360.
Cheap and effective way to get HD graphix. I think the cable cost me $10 at Lamestop.

I've been using the VGA cable since day one, with the audio going through my PC line-in.
I have no complaints, although I never did figure out what the difference is between the three different colour modes that are supported by the VGA cable.
They all look the same to me.
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think it had to do with black levels, as TV's and PC monitors use different contrast levels, but as the difference between the two have blurred there's know way to know what any given monitor uses. On my monitor blacks were showing up like a really dark grey in one setting, and actual black in another.
I'll have to look out for that next time I fiddle with the settings.
Man, the colors are so off via VGA. Shit is blueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
does the monitor have an 'auto' button
if so hit that
