Blood Gear is a side scrolling platformer where you play as a soldier who controls a Mech. You start out with basic weapons but at the end of each level you can upgrade your Mech to epic abilities. The town scenes remind me of Phantasy Star 2. There are some hectic boss battles and the game is by no means short. No real Japanese is needed to play but there are some boss battles and paths where you can get stuck.
Kaze Kiri
Spoken like it is a holy grail. It is not one at all. You play as a ninja who's job is is rescue a princess. Gameplay is rinse, wash and repeat. It is not that it isn't fun but not fun enough for the outrageous prices it goes for. Also it can be easily be finished in one sitting.
Final Lap Twin is a JRPG where the battles are races.

IM DOCTOR BOMB
A couple of Super CD-Rom 2 games here:
Seirei Senshi Spriggan- An excellent shooter from Compile that unfortunately didn't get a USA localization. Instead of Robo Aleste's feudal Japan setting, this one has a medieval/sorcery theme. Your current weapon is based on what 3 orbs you are carrying. The soundtrack kicks ass (no surprise).
Nexzr (intro)
Nexzr stage 3, ひで~ぜ Hideeze ("it's brutal") difficulty- with some revenge bullets and fast enemy fire. The other difficulty levels are Normal and Hard- there's no Easy.
From Kaneko (who also did Super Star Soldier), here's Nexzr. This shooter is up there with Pulstar in its difficulty level. According to GameFAQs this is ported from a still unemulated arcade game. In 2015, you pilot the Slasher against a big armada of enemy ships invading earth- and you're partially motivated by revenge for the death of a female pilot from your squadron in 2012. There are not a lot of weapons in Nexzr, and you can not power them up. If your weapons aren't doing the job, maybe you have the wrong one. Smart bombs? Forget it. Checkpoints? Yes. This one does have an arcade screen mode, similar to the HuCard Dragon Spirit. Great game with awesome BGM.
The later release entitled Nexzr Special omits the above opening scene. Damn. Anyway, this does add Carnival time attack modes not in the original.
PlayStation Move does what Kinect Kinnot.
Finished in 2012: 10 games - PC: 6, Arc: 2, PS3: 1, PSP: 1
This thread needs more Monster Lair:
Kinect will be this generation's 32X, but without the awesome port of Space Harrier
Legendary Axe II is one of my all time favorites. Not only does it feature some crazy bosses (robots, intestine worms, dolls) but the soundtrack is amazing for a chip title:
You're cute, Korian. If you had played Bravoman you'd know what I was talking about. Nice try reporting me, sweetheart. <3
