Thread: Completion Thread 2012: Hai! Dekimashita!

  1. #7 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Not a bad single player experience but it felt really short and it didn't feel much different in anyway from the original MW (I could be wrong, it has been years since I played it). Next up I really need to finish up LA Noire

  2. #712
#44 - Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA)

Played through again after finding a complete copy, I ended up liking the game a lot more than I did the first time through. I had a better understand of it as well, since I flew right through the damn thing with no issues this time. I wonder how I had my deck set up before. Still, great story for a GBA version of a PS2 game, amazing sprite work, really fun action/card system. Made it through as Sora and Riku, now it's on to as much BBS as I can squeeze out before 3D hits D=

That about sums up every COD single-player campaign since MW.

  4. #8 Gears of War 3

I beat this shortly after it came out but I just recently went through it in co-op mode.

I got back into BBS the last couple days. It's cool because you get to see some of what started the whole mess, including a rad child molester scene near the end of Terra's path:

    Terra: Go on, touch it.

::Boy Riku reaches out slowly and grasps the Keyblade shaft.::

Terra: Now remember, this is our little secret.

    Not even shitting you.

  6. 8. Captain America: Super Soldier (360) - finished the story mode in just under 7 hours (you could get through it much faster if you ignore the collectibles). I'm going to copy Melf here:

    Currently Playing:

  7. The summer of portables continues.

25.) Persona 2: Innocent Sin (PSP)

As much as I enjoyed Persona 3 and 4, this and Eternal Punishment just blow them out of the water. Awesome characters (<3 Maya) and a completely insane story that just gets more bizarre the further in you get. One of my biggest gripes with the remake of the first game was that they'd butchered the soundtrack, but thankfully this time they not only left it alone, but offered original and arranged versions. Very cool. That encounter rate is a little ridiculous, though...

    26.) Yggdra Union (PSP)

Finished with ending B. This game reminded me of Langrisser/Warsong quite a bit, which is definitely a good thing. I'm a little annoyed with myself for not playing these Dept. Heaven games sooner! Knights in the Nightmare is next.

You're doing the Lord's work. Though I still have yet to actually finish those games myself.

  9. I've only played a bit of Knights, but already it's unlike anything I've seen in a strategy RPG (and the art is absolutely gorgeous). I definitely have to respect Sting for taking chances.

I'm hoping Gungnir is eventually Vita-compatible.

  10. Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL - Not much to really say here. I was wanting something like Smash Bros. that wasn't smash bros and this is sure it. Granted I am not really a fan of half the series/characters featured in this game, its not terrible, so much as so middle of the road that its 100% forgettable.

Highlights include a fairly varied roster, 26 in all, with additional costumes for each.

Story mode is fairly entertaining, if only for space ghost narrating events from when dexter meets bloo from fosters home for imaginary friends, or samurai jack crossing paths with captain planet, its a good mix of platform/action, smash bros style fights, and first person semi-qte moments.

Battle mode is just that, with the ability to change any option you want.

All-in-all I don't feel completley ripped off at the $17.99 price of admission, its not worth seeking out.

415/1000 for one playthrough at standard difficulty, and the rest of the points have to do with multi player based stuff. Oh, and one for replaying via hard mode.
