Thread: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

  1. Haven't not finished Skyrim, Witcher 2, and Saint's Row 3 does make another open world game a hard sell for me. I like the demo, but I'm not in any rush right now.
"I've watched while the maggots have defiled the earth. They have
built their castles and had their wars. I cannot stand by idly any longer." - Otogi 2

  2. Yea, I feel the same. This is a cool game but I have a bunch of other games and ME3 is coming out in March.

  3. Hmmm...I don't know why, but the fact that the demo map is one long corridor but still having a map to help you out seems...insulting? I know it's not the intention, but hey...

and lol they have "Normal" and "Hard" modes but what do they call Easy? "Casual"

    Man, fuck EA.

    (demo's not terrible though)

I'm surprised we didn't have a thread for this earlier. Anyways, I've been interested in this game quite a bit, and the demo met/exceeded expectations. Feels just like Torchlight in a well-created, expansive 3D environment.

After the Well of Souls introductory section, and the meeting with the fate weaver, the demo has you out in the open world with a 45 minute time limit.

  6. I really hope the final game lets you skip that introductory section. I don't want to play it again even when I get the full version.

Well, on the plus side, you'll get a promotional armor and weapon in ME3 for simply trying the Amalur demo. And vice versa for the ME3 demo.

  8. The demo was fun, and seems like an interesting game. I'm usually not one for the open world style games, this one may actually get me to play it. Though like others I have so much else to finish right now, I may wait on it.
    Where I play

  9. I think it's what I wanted Fable to be and reminds me of WoW alot. I like it, but I don't $60 like it.

Thats on of the reasons i tried the demo aside from just being interested in it. I saw the weapons you get and they are a pair of Omni Tool blades. looks badass.
