Monitor Issue

My 2nd monitor kind of shit the bed last night. The power indicator shows that it has power, but it just shows a blank screen. If I unplug, and plug it back in, there is a very tiny buzz, the screen displays properly and then blanks out.

It's about 5 years old, so I'm assuming it's just dead from old age, but have any of you had any experience with this?

Maybe the backlight is crapping out.
Shine a really bright light on the screen when it goes blank and see if there's still an image on the panel.
