spoken like a true bitch.
I'm not inflexible when it comes to digital downloads as long as I can still play the stuff offline and I can re-download the content again on another console provided my current one craps out.
I usually prefer physical copies in case I want to go somewhere where I can't simply just transfer my content. I also tend to want to maintain consistency when it comes to physical vs digital games unless there's a great digital sale and is a better bargain than a physical copy. One case for me was Orange Box on XBL being $10 vs $30+ for the physical disc and another was Darkness for $5 but I just never pulled the trigger on that one.
However if I bought a game and my HD got jacked up and I can't re-download the game because it was delisted or there was some DRM issue then yeah that fucking sucks and I'm going to be burning some houses down but so far so good.

Physical Orange Box is worth that much? Shit, I should have bought the digital on sale and sold my disc.
Yeah for a new copy it's that much although I'm sure you can get one used for a cheaper price. Here are some price listings as of the moment:
Amazon
Google Shopper
Your idea of purchasing games was thrown out the window by corporations and government once the digital age began. You don't buy and own video games, music, movies anymore, you are purchasing a license. That license will be tied to the user, console, account, etc. Not saying it is fair, cause then every form of art or entertainment when resold should have money go back to the original creator, but it is music, games and movies that make the most money and have the most say in today's digital world.
Fuck them.
If they let you sell your digital games, they're going to control the price, mark my words.
