Correct. Line play on both sides of the ball is the only thing that translates into a lot of wins consistently. I don't buy that you have to throw 30+ times to win a Super Bowl, even in 2012.

  2. No but I think the old adage of "run the ball, stop the run" has become "get to the QB, protect the QB". Both place a premium on line play but the mode of ball transport (heh) is different.

Making the Browns pick all the more curious to me...

Looks like everything is down, largely thanks to the worthless little shits that should be playing sports now but are too lazy. Between this and the "everybody is a winner" bullshit in schools, we're going to be even more fucked in the world market.

Someone in the NFL front office has an interest in someone else in the NFC South. I would like someone to explain to me how the Saints continue to get raped, but actual game day cheating by New England warranted a fine. Obviously the cap is more important than the legitimacy of the games, which I guess isn't a surprise based on some of the calls I've witnessed over the last decade.

The Patriots' cheating didn't endanger the health and safety of NFL players, which in and of itself is an incredible no-no, nevermind opening the league to lawsuits because of that. Very simple to understand.

All four players plan to appeal like the slimeball garbage coaches and executives did, for naught of course but it makes sense that none of these scumbags can take his deserving punishment like a man.

It's cute that you think that's what this is about. There are plenty of penalties, fines, and suspensions for actually injuring someone on an illegal play.

  8. While I agree with the lax penalty on the Pats, the NO penalty is justified. The players not so much ... they do as they are told.

The Saints players should watch A Few Good Men.

"We did nothing wrong we did what we were told to do!"

"We are supposed to protect those that can't defend themselves. We were supposed to fight for Willie."

  9. Junior Seau found dead at his home in Cali.

Yahoo, AP, Profootball Talk, and TMZ report his passing.

  10. My first guess is that it was a suicide. My second guess is that his brain looked like swiss cheese under a microscope. The two are related.
