  2. Seattle has about a 25% chance of making it to the SB.

Beginning with the 2006 season through the 2011 season, the eventual NFC Super Bowl representative beat Buffalo in the regular season:

    2006 — Loss @ Chicago, 40-7
    2007 — Loss v. NY Giants, 38-21
    2008 — Loss @ Arizona, 41-17
    2009 — Loss v. New Orleans, 27-7
    2010 — Loss @ Green Bay, 34-7
    2011 — Loss @ NY Giants, 27-24

I'll give you those 4:1 odds and bet you any amount of money you can afford.

or just head to vegas and get 30:1 odds right now on Seattle to make it to the Superbowl, 60:1 to win it

but your better off with the Redskins at 100:1 to win it all !

I actually like the second (reservedly) and third (wholeheartedly).

I hate the first one, although imagine if field goals got worth less as you got closer and TDs got worth more. The strategy would be awesome.

I support the hell out of the second one. There is holding on every play anyway, so the net would be that DB could actually play defense again.

The third one requires more thought.

  9. Well, that's why I like the second one too.

I really like the third one because ties do genuinely make playoff races more interesting. Yes ties can be unsatisfying, but so is seeing a team win a coin flip and then kick a field goal.

Yeah, I think you're right. And extending OT would just lead to more injuries.
