  2. So Tex is showing progress really early, and it's looking pretty good. I mean yeah, by modern gaming standards the graphics are nothing mind-blowing, but it's pretty strong evidence of their claim that they can make something that looks much better than the old games even with a much smaller team, and it's impressive for their budget and scope. And I can't wait to see what they do with that massive green screen stage.

Unity was a good call for the engine, I think. Good balance of quality visuals and performance and something that works for a low-budget project with an ambitious scope.

I finally got the GOG code and it looks like it's a universal code for any Tex Murphy game. You still want The Pandora Directive?

    Absolutely!

  5. They actually have it set up so you can pick the game, now.

  6. I saw and I love you. I just hadn't replied yet because I'm on my phone.

  7. So this has kind of blown away my expectations as far as visual quality. Not that it's a match for a AAA console game or anything, but it's pretty amazing what they're doing with such a small budget, and it's hard to believe it's even made by the same company as Big Finish's earlier games. Looks better than a lot of Telltale games, even.

  8. I like the look. Still keeps the feel of the old games. Their greenscreen tech should look better this time around too.

  9. Yeah. And if you've ever played any of Big Finish's earlier games, it set the bar for my expectations very low...

So the fact that this looks a real, modern PC game while capturing the atmosphere of the old games is a pleasant surprise.

  10. Yeah... that pretty much looks like shit. Glad to see they're making a little more effort. Next year is going to be crazy though if all these kickstarters actually finish.
