Phils trade Jim Thome to the Orioles for two minor leaguers. The Astros and Dodgers have a trade in place that will send Carlos Lee to LA but Lee has a no trade clause.

Sad to see Thome go again

I hope the guy tears it up in Baltimore. There's been few players that have been so classy and professional out there. One of my all time favorite players.

The Phillies are terrible this year. I'm getting far more enjoyment from following the rest of baseball than I am paying attention to them. This was easily a 95 or 96 win team on paper. Things don't always work out that way, but where they're heading now? The 2007 Mets had that collapse, but they still won 88 games, not 70.

There's still some time to turn it around and get back into the playoffs, but a lot of things are going to have to be perfect from here on out. I get the feeling we'll be seeing Hamels, Victorino and Pence in different uniforms by the end of July.

Turns out the Jays weren't even close in the Darvish biding. Nobody was within 35 million of the Ranger's bid. The Jays came third, behind the Cubs. Good thing we don't need pitching.

I saw it. He got beat to the bag while covering first and then spiked the ball but said nothing. He should not have been tossed. It's another case of an ump thinking people pay to see him. He tossed the manager like 30 seconds later.

I've given up on the Phillies this year. They aren't even fun to watch anymore this year. The team is beyond bad when they were supposed to be really good. Underachievement is not fun to watch.
