The Astros and Blue Jays have completed a ten-player trade, the teams announced. The Astros obtain seven players from Toronto: Major Leaguers Francisco Cordero and Ben Francisco, minor leaguers Joe Musgrove, Asher Wojciechowski, David Rollins and Carlos Perez, and a player to be named. The Astros send Brandon Lyon, J.A. Happ and David Carpenter to Toronto in the trade.

Johan to the DL with an ankle injury that occurred two weeks ago against the Cubs. ...what... if he was in pain why didn't he go on the DL after that (and use the All Star break as extra rest) instead of risking his surgically repaired shoulder?
So now the Mets have to find a replacement for Gee and Johan. Today Miguel "The Poet" Batista is starting against the Dodgers today and he's gonna get raped by Kemp for sure. Dickey hasn't been great either lately but with a knuckleballer who the hell knows.
Enjoy the last day of the Mets being above .500 this season. They need to get Wright locked up, which would have been way cheaper had they done it last year, and continue to build around him through trades.
