Reds acquire Jonathan Broxton as their only pickup at the deadline.

I guess the best bullpen in baseball just needs to be a little better.

I think the Brewers have 50 pitchers in the bullpen now. None of them can save a game unless they have a six run lead.

Cincinnati is now 22-3 in their last 25 games. The last time that happened was '75.

And most of that has been without Votto.

I haven't been this excited about baseball since I was 10.

Yea the Red Legs are playing damn good baseball and Chapman has been rolling along nicely as the closer.

So the Orioles promoted Manny Machado, who played his first game tonight. He promptly hit two home runs in his major league debut. Cool but not crazy remarkable. What IS remarkable is the fact that the same fan caught both home runs.

Actually, it's probably more remarkable that a person would grow up to be a major league baseball player and hit two home runs in his debut than it would be for someone to grow up and catch two home runs on any given night

A co-worker just informed me that Dylan Bundy will be pitching for the Baysox (Orioles Double A team) tonight. Something tells me one of two things will happen: 1) he stays there for the rest of the year and competes for a roster spot at spring training next year or 2) he spends the next few weeks in double A and gets a September call-up.
