Thread: New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS)

  1. #31
I love Iawata's response to all the criticism: "We only create a New Super Mario Bros. title one per platform." Does anyone believe that there won't be another on 3DS or Wii U? And, even if not, that'll be the same game four times.

  2. Not on 3DS, they'll keep popping out DLC.

Jesus. I'm rethinking my wishes for Nintendo to understand the internet.

  4. As well you should. The cork is about to be popped and it's just going to keep flowing.

You think Activision/EA is bad about this? Nintendo has decades old fans that eat this shit up no matter what.

On the up side, there's no new Star Fox or F-Zero in sight, and I'm not buying a Wii U for Pikmin 3, so I am safe. Let them DLC Mario and Zelda fans to fuck and back. They deserve it.

  6. jesus, we're finally at that point where the fucking super mario brothers games get pdlc now

NINTENDO REWARDS FANS FOR AMASSING 300 BILLION GOLD COINS WORLDWIDE IN NEW SUPER MARIO BROS. 2

New Super Mario Bros. 2 Owners Get Free Downloadable Coin Rush Course Pack Based on Classic Games

REDMOND, Wash., Nov. 27, 2012 – Nintendo fans worldwide have amassed a mountain of more than 300 billion gold coins in New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo 3DS system, and the tally continues to climb. To reward players for hitting this massive milestone, Nintendo is offering a free pack of Coin Rush courses that game owners can download wirelessly within the game at no extra charge (broadband Internet access is required).

The free Gold Classics Pack was inspired by games like Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3, and includes three new courses that can be played in Coin Rush mode. Players can test their skills, then share and challenge other players' records through the StreetPass feature. The Gold Classics Pack is now available and will be free for a limited time to New Super Mario Bros. 2 owners. Starting Feb. 1, 2013, the pack will be available to purchase for $2.50 in the United States. A variety of other downloadable Coin Rush course packs are available for purchase through the New Super Mario Bros. 2 game.

  9. Those free levels are pretty fun. They did some clever stuff with the transitions between levels.
    Donk

  10. I thought so too. Played through it twice yesterday night, really liked it. Didn't get anywhere near 30,000 coins though.
