This is something I miss, though it doesn't come from buying current gen stuff. I've been thinking about picking something old to collect so that I can get back the feeling of the chase.

  2. Some of the oldergame guides have gone up in value a lot also. Xenogears guide is a pretty penny if you have it in near mint shape.

I have the game and guide. I bought the guide years ago at Half-Price Books for only $5.

  4. I still have mine. Shit, I have all those old guides. Dollar signs in my eyes.

I was thinking of this recently, I wish to hell and back that I had spent more money on the good Lego sets when they were around. Now it's all Ninja Go this and City Builder that, it's come down to the only good Lego sets available are the fucking Star Wars ones. And I have most of the ones I'd really want from that series anyways (besides that super collectors Millenium Falcon which looks fucking amazing but is way too much). If I could find someone selling some of the old Black Knight's Castle stuff, the old Pirates collection (NOT the fucking Pirates of the Carribean bullshit), and the Aqualab stuff, I don't think I'd have any money left for years. Hell, I'd rebuy the monorail I got when I was 10 if I could find an unopened package, even though it would probably cost in the $600 range. Lego used to be the business, the stuff they put out now doesn't even compare.

I've been trying to find one at a "fair" price but some people just want too much for the damn thing.

It's too bad you probably don't have a Gamer X-change in your area. They sell every guide for $4.99. I haven't seen one in Dallas for over 5 years, but everytime I go to east Texas I check out their stores.

Speaking of guides, I have the Metroid Prime Trilogy guide that I picked up from Best buy for a penny. I wonder if that will gain much value?

This. I still dedicate a day or two each year to road tripping for obscure games, at this point really less for the games than chance to sit through a few CDs in the car and hit up a small town bar for a burger.

  10. Gunlord (Neo-Geo AES, probably the MVS one also) - Not too many Neo-Geo copies will be printed.
Under Defeat HD - Well, look at every other G.Rev game. And check eBay for what the Dreamcast version goes for now.
Limited editions of Ys games on PSP (Felghana/Seven/Chronicles)
    Eschatos (360)
    Brandish: The Dark Revelation (PSP-J)

PlayStation Move does what Kinect Kinnot.
    Finished in 2013: 10 games (360:1, PC: 6, Gen: 1, AC: 1, PSP: 1)
