I don't believe that it is as simple as it is now digital, so PAL vs. NTSC doesn't matter any more. You are still dealing with a PAL standard that runs at 50Hz vs. NTSC that runs at 60Hz, and if your HD display will support that.

PAL60 has been a thing for quite some time, but even if it does 50Hz, most televisions will have no problem displaying it, regardless of what the spec sheet says.
I can run my CD32 in 50Hz mode on my TV with no problems.
The European SNES Classic is using the 60Hz NTSC ROMs. The only difference between it and the US version is that it looks better. As long as bbobb's and my orders actually ship, we won a month ago or whatever.
Winning at the Special Olympics isn't really that big of a deal.
