I finally got to try the kind of projects that I actually bought the programmer for today.

I got a copy of Famicom Dragon Quest 4 in today from ebay for like 5 bucks or something. It now plays in English.

There's alot of junk in there, but I already had a garage sale planned for this coming weekend, so the rejects will get a $1.50-$2 on them and hopefully be gone. Dude was a smoker so they all need a good cleaning, but they seem to work fine. Is there any way to clean labels without causing damage? Most of them look fine a few could be touched up.

I looked it up, and it doesn't look like I can englishize DQ 1 or 2 since the US versions use different mappers than the Japanese versions. 3 and 4 are a go, however.

I may see if I can hunt down another cheap Japanese game to use a a DW 1 and 2 donor and just throw it in a DQ 1 and 2 case.

Tonight's project: I finally got the Kid Dracula translation working! There was no guide for this one, I had to figure it out myself. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce these in a NES cartridge, I can only convert the Famicom original game, unless I stuck it into one of those Gyromite converters.
