Thread: Official NES/ SNES Classic Thread

  1. Ignored Korian. I could probably squeeze that much out of Tyson. I mark it $15 and it doesnt sit. Super C though? Its hard to get $8 out of that. "yeah sure man! Its just as great as Contra!"

    Disregard the SNES bit http://youtu.be/44mxT_ruxlI

  3. He had Megaman 3 also, but I tuned him out after the $20

This. I begrudgingly understand licensed stuff like Duck Tales, but how the fuck do they not have Contra? Hell, there's no reason I can't choose which version of every game I want even.

Thankfully, Sony is doing a lot better with the PSone classics. And the fact that the PS3 is region free makes that even more of a goldmine when you can raid the HK and Japan PSN Stores.

I've got the Powerpak, but it only works on my real systems, it doesn't work on my Famiclone. The Retron is much better than my shitty Yobo, so it may work better. I don't really use it much since I prefer the real carts, but it is handy when I can't find something, or if I want to try out an import version or FDS game.

The bad side: It's what made me realize that Japanese versions of Konami games and FDS versions of Nintendo games were often better than what we got in the US, and a importin' I will go.

Metroid had saves on FDS for example. And Zelda had voice parts with the microphone on controller 2.

  9. The only NES games I plan on buying are the good ones that aren't available on Famicom. There are more of these than I thought. And maybe some good ones where I would have to read stuff. Maybe.

it's The Way To Be in 2012.

  10. So I want to take apart these carts and clean the shit out of them. I know I need a security bit, has anybody had any luck finding one at a hardware store? I know I can get it off amazon, but I kind of want to do this today.
