It looks that way, although you can buy a repro from retrousb.com. I'll keep an eye out for a Japanese copy, although I have no idea what the rarity or cost is.

  2. Japanese and very limited run in Scandinavia (!?). Does not get along with the NES.

Did a little digging, and it looks like the Japanese version is stupid expensive. Oh well...

  4. I forgot to mention that a nerd came into my shop on saturday and started picking up and looking at all my gyromites, excitebikes, and hogans alleys. I knew what he was looking for, but in all my years of handling nitendo games, i had only come across one or two that had the adapters inside. I stopped looking for them long ago. He found a five screw Excitebike and asked how much it would be if it had the adapter. I told him it would be $5 either way. ( i really didnt think it had one). It did. I WAS SO BUMMED! So then he and I started looking through the rest of the games together. We found a Hogans Alley that looked promising and opened it up. Bam! There was another. I have a famicom on the way. so I dont need it. If anyone is interested, let me know. I would want more than $5 for this one, but less than the $20-30 they seem to go for on the bay.

  5. Krion might be the most blatant MM ripoff, but my favorite MM-esque game is on TG-16: Shockman

I'm kind of vague on the whole "5 screw" thing. You mean it has a Famicom adapter in it or something? I have a 5 screw Section Z. Is there a way I cause use the adapter inside to play teh Faminecronomicom games on my good ol' Murican NES?

  7. I think they were only on 5 Screw 1st party games, and then not always. I'm also vague on what exactly you do with it.

  8. Yes. Inside the cart is a famicom cartridge board plugged into an adapter.
    Check this out.

I mentioned this earlier, but converter prices are ridiculous. better off to just buy a cheap Famicom/Famiclone, I think, unless you just get lucky with a $5 Gyromite.

  10. My price wouldnt be crazy...
