The Famicom was $30, althought that didn't include the shipping from Japan. I think it was $30 for the Famicom, $35 for the FDS system, and $50 to ship it.
I'd imagine shipping on the Twin was pretty high. The seller sent my stuff in two separate boxes so it could qualify for small packet SAL, putting them in one bigger box would have cost like $80. I'm not sure if Japan Post just charges more now, or if its the yen to dollar conversion, but the charges are just retarded for anything bigger than a loose cartridge.
Yeah, Shou underestimated the shipping by $25. I decided to go with EMS over SAL. It would be my luck that the package would get lost if I went the cheaper way. For the $40 extra it cost, the peace of mind is worth it to me.
SMB 1 2 and 3! I played 2 for the first time yesterday, holy fuck. I find a warp zone, go to world 3, find another warp zone which sends me back to 1-1, then find yet another warp that puts me at 2-1, where I lose all my lives.
I've also been playing FDS Zelda. Nobody's missing anything from the NES version. Some of the sound effects are different, but not necessarily better. I hate the sword shooting and door opening sounds. Music is identical to the NES game. The monster scream when you reach the boss is different, better, and loud, and scared the crap out of me since I wasn't expecting it.
