So, I Just Finally Picked Up a Wii

Deadly Creatures was fun. And it has Billy Bob.

Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People was superb, and fits the Wii quite well. But it can be had cheaper elsewhere.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but I heard that No More Heroes is good.

Monster World IV finally got an English release on vc a couple of weeks ago.

Only clinch is it's $8 on VC, while the 360 release is $10 and includes Monster Land & Monster World to boot.

I'd only recommend the VC one if MW4 is the only one you care about, saving $2 is a good thing and/or you really dig the Wii Classic Controller.

Also, there's some games on Wii that were multiplat (like on PS2) that aren't too bad if you missed them elsewhere. Dokapon Kingdom is dumb fun, and a few Rune Factory games made their way there. Never thought I'd dig on a Harvest Moon/Zelda hybrid but there you go.

Why didn't you enjoy No More Heroes?

The visual style of some of the boss designs is pretty good (I liked the guy that transformed into a boombox), everything else is trash. The combat is okay at best but more boring than not, the game being highly repetitious by design exacerbates that issue, they ram god awful attempts at being witty into the face of the viewer, and the writing is like a 10-year-old boy trying desperately to make a parody of anime but can't think of anything to do besides make dick jokes. WHEN YOU CHARGE THE BATTERY IT'S LIKE MASTURBATING! GET IT? IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE PENIS.

If someone really desperately wanted it because they've run out of better games to play, I'd say get the PS3 version since it's cheaper, has both games bundled together, and runs in a higher resolution but they fucked that up too with screen-tearing and slowdown.
