I saw your post, and it triggered me to watch this, which has a long Day Z part.
More PC people need to play Day Z. I started making a thread for it while I was at work but my computer locked up. Anyway, download and play it.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

Countdown to the de facto end of the console generation: 5 exclusives
Most recent: Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (4/30)
Next up: The Last of Us (6/11)
Later: Puppeteer (9/10), Beyond: Two Souls (10/18), Rain (TBA), Until Dawn (TBA)
I'm not gonna spend $30 on ArmA 2 to play that mod. I know a lot of people are. Maybe if it goes on sale for under $10.
BTW yesterday I checked out Dawn of War 2. I enjoyed Dawn of War 1 and CoH but I am all thumbs when it comes to RTS games. So they messed around with it a bit (dare I say "dumbed down"?) and it works.
I've been playing Thief 2 for the first time and I *love* it. Looking Glass was pretty incredible.
I'll probably try DayZ if the ArmA collection gets a big sale.
It's a pretty great game. I love the move towards small squad-based combat over resource management. Gathering loot for a small set of characters > gathering minerals.
It works really well for Co-op too. I haven't tried the last stand multiplayer mode but I've heard nothing but good things.
Soul Reaver 2 (PC) and Heavy Rain. Soul Reaver 2 is something that I've been meaning to play since FOREVER, and now that I finally am thanks to GOG I'm wishing that I had a controller for my PC...
...because without the bitter, baby, the sweet ain't as sweet.
A wired 360 pad is like $30 on Amazon. Totally worth it.
Yeah? I'll check that out. Thanks.

Mirror's Edge. This game has great style, and it's fun although I have trouble maintaining some flow still. Part of the problem is it is hard as fuck to tell where to go when in the open environments.
