I am convinced that the big tech companies just invest in companies like Gaikai and Onlive for their patent portfolios and not because they believe the companies can deliver on their huge pomises.

I think Sony will do something with the Gaikai tech.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if there weren't streaming PS3 or Vita games even before the PS4 is announced.

If Sony can get through it's bureaucratic BS that's killing it (big if), Gaikai tech is more suited to build out a mobile streaming platform than consoles or PCs as the land infrastructure is not being invested in any of the 1st world countries while mobile networks are.
