Not a real surprise. Nayuta no Kiseki looks like Falcom's last PSP release, but that's a sure way to send the PSP out with a bang. The good side? Falcom will return to PC, at last. So, this could mean Nayuta no Kiseki may get ported to PC, along with Zero and Ao.

    Discuss.

  2. maybe that steam money?

I wish they'd go tell Cave all about that Steam money.
Countdown to the de facto end of the console generation: 5 exclusives
Most recent: Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (4/30)
Next up: The Last of Us (6/11)
Later: Puppeteer (9/10), Beyond: Two Souls (10/18), Rain (TBA), Until Dawn (TBA)

  4. I'm glad Falcom and XSeed were able to expand their audience a bit by making these games for the PSP, but I've always considered them a PC developer first and foremost. I wonder if the last two Sora no Kiseki games will end up on Steam if XSeed ever translates them now. I had a lot of fun with the first game.

So is Ys living on Vita now, or is the IV remake going to be a one-off?

  5. Zero is already available on PC through Asia except Japan and Ao is already on its way.

I'm almost betting on Trails FC hitting Steam by the end of 2012 or not too far into 2013, and will buy it again should this happen. Xseed is thinking seriously about it. IINM voice-overs for the whole TitS trilogy have already been recorded.

Thanks to PhyreEngine, PC ports of Vita Ys IV and Zero Evolution (in lieu of the existing port of PSP Zero) just might happen.

  7. Xseed REALLY wants to bring all of the games over. I've had little chats on twitter with their rep who says it's basically a labor of love at this point.

  8. Sora no Kiseki FC is getting an HD version for PS3 in Japan, priced at 3,990 JPY with a release on 12/13. Let's hope XSeed gets this out here with their existing PSP translation.

As much as I really enjoy the game, I've put it down because I'm waiting for either a PC release or an SC announcement. Preferably both combined.

  10. I'm on the final chapter, but I'll probably play again sometime (most likely waiting for it to hit Steam) because I had some of the bracer jobs expire. I'm guessing XSeed will throw us at least one more PC title by the year's end. Trails or Xanadu Next seems likely for their 3rd release- I have a feeling they may want to do something other than an Ys game this time.
