I used to do that with the pass-through cable to see what was 32X and what was Genesis hardware, too.

Good segment on Chaotix, it's exactly how I feel about the game. I still feel like it could be fixed as a level hack, but as it is, the level design is just so very bad, and repetitive to make it worse.

I got a 32X and a PC (486 DX2/66Mhz with 4MB of RAM and a CD-ROM drive!) at the same time (September 1994), and it basically made me swear off consoles for the rest of the decade.
