The best ones are the ones that came with the Genesis 3 though. They seem to be identical to the older Sega ones but have built in turbo. I think I have a couple of those in storage for that rainy day when the itch comes back.
There are a bunch of cheap Chinese clones out there now, they suck. The original Sega ones, so, so good.

Countdown to the de facto end of the console generation: 5 exclusives
Most recent: Deadly Premonition: Director's Cut (4/30)
Next up: The Last of Us (6/11)
Later: Puppeteer (9/10), Beyond: Two Souls (10/18), Rain (TBA), Until Dawn (TBA)
Those were sega branded nyko controllers that came with the genesis 3. I liked how floaty the d pad was, but the plastic was just on the wrong side of feeling sturdy.
I've never tried the Genny 3 pad, I assumed it was cheap since it was made by Majesco.
I've ordered a few new pads from places that assured me their pads were the real deal and they were really crap. "Genesis compatible" can bite my ass.
Got the360 version of Sleeping Dogs for review and PRIDE Fighting Legacy Vol 3 for $25 on Amazon.

Finally downloaded Dawnguard after putting it off for a month. Looking forward to getting into it later tonight. I also snagged Street Fighter x Tekken for 20 bucks used and the first season of Game of Thrones.
I really want to get Persona 4 Arena, but I'm having a hard time justifying spending 60 bucks on a game I'm into more for the setting and characters than I am the actual fighting. I'll probably wait and see if the price eventually drops.
Atlus stuff has dropped pretty regularly this gen. I got 3D Dot Game Heroes from Amazon for about $15 or so within six months of its release.
