Over the last few days I've finished all the missions and side ops and only ended up at 75% completion. I had fun but I'm not going to grind for the rest of the achieves.

I'd say it will all make sense eventually, but honestly the game is just batshit all around and unfinished so not really

I didn't mind the real ending. Helps you understand why Snake turns into a bad guy with Outer Heaven in Metal Gear 1.
