Thread: Star Wars: Episode VII

  1. Star Wars: Episode VII

When the prequel trilogy was all coming out, the only critique I ever heard was jar jar was obnoxious. People ate those movies up.
Why are you reading this? go to your general settings and uncheck the Show Signatures box already!

The actors do look confused and flat all the time.

  3. The people I trusted weren't huge on Yoda flipping around.

We had our shit together by Episode 2 and watched it from the SCAD computer arts lab off the network opening day. Reactions were mixed.

All true. There was always hope the next one would finally get it together, and while they did improve it was never to a high level.

  6. Get ready for the overcorrection, neckbeards got axes to grind.

Meh. It's going to be a noneffensive by the numbers scifi space movie. Disney knows how to position this shit. It will be good enough to sell toys and park tickets. But not so good that it's a classic or makes you ponder anything with weight.

What I'm saying, is they payed a lot of money and are going to play it safe.

  9. What was so deep and edgy about the original trilogy, lol?

You know who loved the originals? Kids and young adults. You know who loved the prequels? Mostly kids. Everyone gets mad because they want shit that hit that special nerve when the were young to do it again. It's never going to happen. Shit is like heroin in that sense. Yet like addicts we keep chasing that nostalgia high.
Let the kid shit be for kids. Go watch ex machina or moon or something.

This is what I was saying earlier in the thread.
