Death to the PS1

I found my teeny tiny ps1 (with the monitor). Laser is shot I think. Won't read CDs or games. Anything I can do, or should I throw this fucker out?

I know this may sound stupid, but have you tried cleaning the laser lense?

You're welcome to have mine if I can find it in my closet. I think it's modded. And I have a screen for it.

If cleaning doesn't work you can replace the laser for about $15 or so if you care that much. If you're interested, I'll look to see where I ordered my last batch of lasers from to see if they have any PSOne lasers.

Just make sure you select the right laser for the PSOne, it isn't interchangeable with any other model. You might find them cheaper on ebay or from some parts place in China though.

Also, make sure you have a good, tiny screwdriver. It's a bitch getting those screws out if you don't have a screwdriver that is the exact right size with a good handle.
