What a mess. L2SupplyChain
Thats awesome news. Having to take the rift off between each program gets annoying, and nobody has made anything worthwhile to fix it yet. Now they just need some actual games to play.

It was inevitable. The dev kit was really a kit-based product of off-the-shelf parts. I'm sure when the final unit is closer to production they'll start making units based on the final design available to devs, but putting out a series of stop-gap products in between probably doesn't make sense when a release is less than a year away.
I also don't see this as a problem. This version of the hardware isn't supposed to be selling like it it, as a retail product. It's a prototype, and not only that it's an outdated one. I can't imagine why they'd keep it in production at this point even if they had full stock of all the parts.

That floating status bar is weird.
Those pixels need sharpening. Also, Zelda looks much easier with free movement instead of 90 degree-only turning.

I piss my pants if I saw those garbage blobs of pixels coming at me in VR
