Thread: Kindle 2

  1. Kindle 2

    I want this pretty badly.

Too bad it is so expensive.

  2. I understand these are extremely popular with the 'over-60' set.

  3. It's gotta get to the sub $150 level before I start thinking about getting one.

  4. I dunno. I never really get the feeling of "OH MAN WHY DON'T I HAVE MY COPY OF 'HEART OF DARKNESS' OR PERHAPS 'DO ANDROIDS DREAM OF ELECTRIC SHEEP" all the sudden while riding the subway. I'd rather just hit the library.

  5. I like to read during my commute/subway ride. I think it is cool since alot of my books are hardcovers and bothersome to carry around. But yah, the high price tag (because of the screen) really put a stop to my impulse purchase....

  6. Is someone makes a carrying case that makes the kindle look like a page in a hardcover book then I'm tempted.

  7. It is very hard to hide a pistol in a hollowed out Kindle!

That screen looks smaller than the original kindle's. The Text-to-speech and included 3g is wonderful. Except that text-to-speech still sounds like hawking.

But it totally beats lugging around a couple newspapers. They're neat devices for their limited applications. Not worth the price at all, but for cheaper I'd consider it.

Like you wouldn't let Stephen Hawking read you a story.
