Thread: Xenoblade Chronicles X (Wii U)

  1. No one will even notice once they're playing. This isn't like Xenosaga having the blood edited out which caused certain cutscenes to stop making sense.

Censorship is when the government persecutes your speech. There are lesser forms, I guess - like outside groups forcing an author's silence, etc. A company doing a thing to their own product that you wanna call censorship? Not censorship.

Yeah bro, you're sincerely worried about the surfboard chicks of the world... right.

Just be real, we know you have a big tit fetish.

Bullshit. Common parlance includes changing content to adhere to the supposed moral sensibilities of an audience within the definition of censorship. Hammer all you want on the dictionary definition; it doesn't matter: this is still censorship. What a pathetic attempt to justify Nintendo's garbage.

I'm actually reasonably okay with the outfits being changed, but the breast slider removal is stupid. And what's utterly unjustifiable is the alteration of names in order to exorcise religious references. If you've played Takahashi's other games, you should know that this stuff isn't just random: it matters to the world and the plot.
