I could be collecting lobsters right now if I didn't have to move the tv stand and move the wiiu octopus across the room.
That took me so long to figure out. I think hands holding hexagons are the affinity quests. I finally got to a part where i don't have much to do before i continue to chapter 12 (the last one). i'm kind of sad even though i know there's a shit ton to do after the ending as well...

It's great for what it is but the action doesn't fit the format and they sure didn't make some of the tutorial text very readable. It works, just not as well as the 3D Zelda ports. For some reason i'm enjoying the story parts more. It could be that I'm refreshed on things I forgot or the lack of a strong central story and characters in XBX is making me appreciate the story and characters of the first game more.

I've already given up on the notion of trying to do lots of the side stuff after I finish the story. There is a certain threshold of side quests that I can handle in any game, before it gets overwhelming to the point where I don't want to do any of them. Unfortunately, many modern games pass that threshold...they just don't know where to stop these days (Star Wars Battlefront being the opposite of that rule, of course).
I'm loving this game more than I thought I would, even if the story so far is just
My only complaints so far are that putting together armor in the first place makes for very silly outfits, to where my top is big bulky space marine and my pants are relaxed CEO, and that I wish they put some thought into the combat layout instead of just shitting everything onto one hotbar. It be really nice if I could do things like tab between smaller bars where I could divide stuff up into melee, long range, and buffs. I realize the ability lists are not so cluttered to where this is taking away from the game, but it would be convenient.
Aside from that I'm enjoying exploring and killing things in desperate searches for random armor in their stomachs, it almost makes me feel like someone decided to take PSO and focus on the world instead of the dungeon grind. Also glad to see the little QTE thing return just to require paying some attention in battle. Now if I only had more time to devote to it...
As soon as any character joins me i put on the strongest armor and then go to the fashion menu and dress them up.
Also on the first Xenoblade: The first half hour to two hours (depending on how quickly you run through things) is pretty slow. i can see where someone would drop it there but it really does get so much better after the call to action.
