Iron Man was in the first few issues of the latest GOTG. It was seen as a way to get people to care about the comic. He slummed around, banged (and was embarassed by) Gamora and peaced out.

The movie shows they don't need to put Iron Man in GOTG, so I doubt they'd pay for him.
