Thread: Marvel Movies: Phase 3 and Beyond

  1. Disney just pushed up the release of Infinity War by a week to launch world wide April 27.

  2. They also teased Fantastic Four in a roundabout way.

  5. Black Panther was great. It felt really fresh and interesting and I loved how fleshed-out Wakanda was and how no attempts were made to shoehorn the movie into the rest of the MCU (although the cameo in the after-credits sequence made perfect sense). A lot of the characters were really likeable, and there was actually some tension at the end that some of them were going to actually get killed off, which is an element that a lot of Marvel movies are missing. It was cool to see so many bad-ass women as well...T'Challa's General was legit scary (I also had no idea that this was the same actress who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead).

I also kind of got bummed at the end that Wakanda isn't a real place, as in this day and age the planet kind of needs the hope they were offering to the world. *sob*

As for all the talk about what a great villain Killmonger was, I felt he was pretty decent, but the only reason he seemed truly compelling in any way was because A) the typical Marvel villain has almost no backstory whatsoever, and B) Michael B. Jordan's acting was superb. Otherwise, he just was yet another guy who did a lot of stereotypical evil things for the sake of being evil. Klaue was a lot of fun, however.

  6. Spiderman: Homecoming... It is okay. It feels uneven. That fat kid is the best though and Aunt May has this weird sexual thing with PP. Keaton was great but not when he is in the suit, Vulture doesn't do shit for me.

  7. You're projecting your feelings for Aunt May.

  8. #738
I would project more than my feelings on Aunt May.

  9. Hot May was awesome.

  10. I could be projecting, and I am ok with that.
