Thread: Marvel Movies: Phase 3 and Beyond

  1. The first Doom story I ever read was a Spider-Man issue; I didn't need to know his whole backstory to get a very solid sense of the character and his threat-level.

  2. Incorrect. There's no way you could have gotten a feel for the character without at LEAST two movies detailing his relationship with his mother and what went into the creation of his tunic.

  3. Also the metal should be his SKIN because of the hardness of his circumstances or something

  4. dick joke.

  5. #305
Yes, doom is far more interesting than anything in the comic he is from.

  6. I mean, there's some really good Fantastic Four comics, but none of them are better than that New Fantastic Four with Wolverine / Ghost Rider / Spider-Man / Hulk.

  7. Is Nic Cage's Ghost Rider MCU canon?

  8. As much as Blade is.

  9. I figured Yeller would prefer the classic FF over Doom since Mr. Fantastic's dimension hopping always led to trippy art like Dr. Strange.

Or maybe I'm mis-remembering how often that stuff happened since it just stuck out the most.

  10. The Jack Kirby stuff is cool because it's Jack Kirby art, not because the Fantastic Four are inherently great.

I'm not sure why the Venture Bros still has the market cornered on 'moving picture FF' depictions, but dang if it doesn't.
