Beware the Bat

The new CG Batman series started on Cartoon Network and I like what I've seen from the first episode. It looks like Batman is relatively new on the scene and they've made Alfred much younger (I'd say 50ish) which makes him much more active physically. They're not going to use any of the heavy hitter villains which could lead to some new and really creative stories (Prof. Pig and Mr. Toad are in the first episode).

The trailer that came out put some people off with its odd styling, but I think it works really well. Great animation, the smoke and fire effects are crazy good. In pictures it looks rather bare and simple, but they've retained some of the 90's animated series aesthetic and mixed in their own new unique look and feel that I really dig. I see a lot of potential.
