Thread: Patrick Rothfuss' KINGKILLER CHRONICLES coming to TV

  1. Patrick Rothfuss' KINGKILLER CHRONICLES coming to TV

...by way of Fox. So, we'll get half a season, shown out of order, with the timeslot constantly moving, until they cancel it with 5+ episodes still unaired.

  2. Hmmm.

Well, I'm interested to see what happens with it. I'm more interested in Rothfuss actually writing the third book and to see if it is actually the end of the story.

Anyway, this is a great, great fantasy series. I recommend it to anyone looking to get into fantasy reading, or reading in general.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.

  3. IIRC it's already confirmed that the third book isn't the end of the overall story, it just gets Kvothe to where he is in the framing story. There will then be more books (another trilogy?) about what happens next.

  4. Kvothe dies

  5. I don't like this. I loved the first book way too much to ever want to see it adapted to television let alone network television.

  6. So how does it work if the series catches up with the books and the books aren't done? Or is this a side-story pre-quel a la Smallville?
